Lemlem

During a trip to her native Ethiopia, model Liya Kebede discovered that traditional weavers were losing their jobs, due to a decline in local demand for their goods. In response, Kebede founded Lemlem in 2007, preserving this ancient art form while creating job opportunities for master artisans. All Lemlem pieces are hand-spun and handwoven in Addis Ababa.
