DH&M Copper

Artisan: DH&M Copper

Jim Hamann is a "serial entrepreneur" that has found a long-term home in copper cookware with Duparquet, Huot & Moneuse, Co. Cornell educated, with master's degrees in engineering and business, Jim has successfully made the leap from a high-tech background to the art of the small and the craft-made. He started in copper by restoring vintage cookware pieces for clients across the country. They would send their collections of French, English or American copper - pieces with incredible character. He found the vintage copper was thicker, the handles more interesting, and the rivets were massive. He decided to make new copper pieces that matched the quality of what he was seeing pass through his hands every day. Starting with three copper saute pans, he now has a line of eleven pieces including lids and table service pieces.
