Nasrin Shaygan

Textile artist Nasrin Shaygan has revived the ancient Iranian tradition of Qalamkar-- wooden block printing using natural dyes.  These pieces are virtually nonexistent in the modern world and their faithful adherence to the methods outlined in old texts represent her passion for cultural heritage.
