TEJIDO

Artisan: TEJIDO

TEJIDO works with small artisan communities in North and South America. Founder Shanti Rackley's love for textiles brought her to Peru some years back, with a new focus on working with knitting groups and women's fair trade cooperatives, she began a line of accessories and home textiles that have sold to retailers such as Free People, Club Monaco, and more. TEJIDO works with master artisans, and focuses on preserving the indigenous traditions of handmade textiles. Working primarily in Peru, the product incorporates natural fibers, the use of hand-looms, crochet, handknitting, and plant based dyes. From the handloomed textiles, they construct the products in their bay area studio.
